Hosting BioGrowing up with an internationally famed father who was a world renowned hypnotist and master of the paranormal, multi Emmy-nominated television personality Ricky Paull Goldin travelled the real world continually as a youngster. With a naturally outgoing personality, Ricky’s travels and exposure to the entertainment world have shaped who he is: a keen wit with an inquisitive, easy going approach to people that translates into a unique ability to relate to anyone, to chat, ask questions and get answers about anything and everything. It’s no wonder, then, that hosting and interviewing come easily to Ricky. Whether he’s interacting with fans, hosting major primetime TV events or his own productions, Ricky’s distinct and innate style adapts to the occasion. He’s equally comfortable in business, social or entertainment settings. Ricky’s hosting credits are varied and run the gamut from network TV to sports, to charitable events. He’s hosted ESPN auto racing and the Dubai World Cup Horse Race with a $6 million purse. After the big race, Ricky was chosen by the Sheiks to do the in-flight programming for Emirates airline. Ricky was host at a glittering charity gala at the fabulous Waldorf Astoria in NYC and co-hosted a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., with Sarah Jessica Parker. During his time at CBS, the network often turned to Ricky for special projects. Ricky hosted a series of one-on-one interviews during a major promo for CBS Daytime programming. He went behind the scenes, revealed a few soap secrets and interviewed cast members. The result was a rare insight into the world of CBS daytime that heralded yet another opportunity for Ricky. CBS Daytime launched an internet call-in chat show and tapped Ricky as its host. CBS’s weekly Soapbox was a huge success. CBS was not the only network to recognize Ricky’s skills. He hosted the ground breaking and successful dating show Street Match on ABC Primetime. This lead to appearances on several Primetime Live from the Red Carpet Emmy shows for ABC, where Ricky hosted, presented and was nominated during the ceremonies. TV Guide Channel also turned to Ricky to host a segment for a daytime special. In 2010, Ricky returned to his childhood roots and embarked on a personal journey. He needed to honor his father’s dying wish that he reveal mysteries of the paranormal and distinguish those who have the gift from those who are frauds. Having lived it through his father’s work, Ricky tapped in to his own instinctual understanding to host his own production – Seeing VS Believing – for TLC. Ricky’s special interviewing skills and intuition were the perfect combination to get to the truth. So powerful was the presentation that TLC bought it immediately and aired it as a one-hour special. Switching direction, Ricky recently hosted a light hearted behind the scenes look at Disney Family’s hit web series CeReality – a collaboration with Kellogg’s and a cutting edge new approach to on line advertising. This concept gave Ricky a chance to combine his hosting skills with his comedic timing. Ricky’s recently completed work hosting a special for HGTV has led the network to offer him his own renovation series to host. Born in San Francisco January 5 to Irish and British parents, Ricky was raised on both sides of the Atlantic. Ricky shares his life with his fiancée Gretta Monahan and is a new Dad to their one-year old son, Kai Rei Goldin born October 21, 2010. |
